How a shovel became a weapon: the story of the 3rd Battalion "Haydamaki" in the War zone

Soldiers from the "Haydamaki" battalion learned to use shovels as a tool and weapon legally. The creation of fortifications was important during wartime, and the soldiers of the 517th Battalion quickly realized that the shovel became their indispensable tool in the fight against the enemy.

It is used to create fortifications that help protect military positions from the enemy and clear the territory of obstacles and objects that could threaten an army operation. In addition, it is an essential tool for constructing temporary housing structures and blocks on the front lines.

As the fighters say: "Whoever did not hold a shovel in his hands never fought. Because a shovel is sometimes better than a machine gun."
